The Australian Olympic Committee to have a “BK Lounge” at the Telecom Center during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
On 19 July, Mr John Coates AC, President of the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and Mr Masaru Hosoi, MD and Chairman of Tokyo Teleport Center Inc. signed an agreement at a ceremony hosted by the Australian Ambassador to Japan, Mr Richard Court AC.
The agreement establishes a unique Australian space in the Telecom Centre, located close to the Olympic action in Koto-ku, Tokyo.
It will be known as the “BK Lounge” named after Australia’s sporting mascot BK – the “Boxing Kangaroo”.
The AOC will host sponsors, media, Australian Olympic athletes and their families and friends at the BK Lounge.
It will play an important role in ensuring the Australian Olympic family have a place to call home in 2020.
Come, rally around the best of Australia.
